Legendary preamp design with a modern twist
The Chandler REDD 47 Mic Preamp is a faithful recreation of the famous EMI REDD 47 as developed and used in Abbey Road Studios.
The Chandler Limited REDD 47 Mic Preamp reproduces the punch, aggressiveness of the original EMI pre which at the time replaced the famed Telefunken V72S valve amp. Chandler have updated the design a touch though, and the REDD 47 has some great new features as often needed by modern production techniques. These include such an increased gain offering a wide range of tonal options from clean to rich and saturated.
The Chandler REDD 47 mic preamp features a stepped Voltage Gain knob (coarse) followed with 1dB stepped Fine Gain Set to help you set your gain precisely. A Rumble Filter or also known as high pass filter offers a range of 8 frequency points from 30Hz all the way up to 180Hz. A 20dB Pad is also available when used with loud sources and is followed by an output control which in combination with the different gain controls offers a wide range of colours. 48V phantom power and Pole (Phase reversal) switch are included.
